Kamienica przy alei NMP 13, gdzie na piętrze miało swoją siedzibę stowarzyszenie Lira. Tu odbywały się liczne koncerty i spotkania autorskie m.in. z Szołem Alejchemem, który jest autorem powieści Dzieje Tewji Mleczarza. Na kanwie tego utworu powstał słynny musical i film Skrzypek na dachu. W kamienicy naprzeciw w Alei NMP 12, w 1915 Aleksander Adam Wolberg wybudował Teatr Letni, od 1919 roku noszący nazwę Teatru Polonia. U Wolberga gościł m.in. pisarz Juliusz Kaden – Bandrowski. The tenement house at NMP Avenue 13, where the Lira association had its seat on the second floor. This is where numerous concerts and authors’ evenings with writers like Sholem Aleichem, the author of Tevie the Dairyman, took place. The famous musical and movie The Fiddler on the Roof was based on Sholem’s work. The tenement house opposite NMP Avenue 12 is where Aleksander Adam Wolber built the Summer Theater, called the Teatr Polonia from 1919 on. The writer Juliusz Kaden-Bandrowski was a frequent guest at Wolberg’s theater. |
